Whether one believes in a religion or not, and whether one believes in rebirth or not, there isn't anyone who doesn't appreciate kindness and compassion. - Dalai Lama

Perhaps humans will always be looking for something superior to them? Something that dictates what life should be like and what are its rules? Is that really what you need in order to feel peace?

Let's suppose that religion comes from ancestors, a lot to do with the history in the country you live, the origins and decisions of your family, the culture that is in your surroundings or what they educated you with. But do you really follow it out of belief or just because they dictate it to you as good? or to have some kind of example to follow to know what to do and what not to do?

Personally, I do not believe that there is a correct religion, in the end they all have similar ideals and it must be your decision if you agree with what it entails to be part of it. Perhaps people come to consider a religion as bad because of the traditions and customs that they carry since they are not modernized, that is, with the passage of history they did not change despite the fact that something was considered as bad according to the time.

There are no bad beliefs, there are bad people who take wrong kinds of ideas and actions being part of some religion and who over time stayed as customs or regulations to be part of it, as well as sacrifices, arranged marriages, discriminatory treatment, etc.

Let's compare 3 religions, Buddhism, Catholicism and Hinduism; not quietly with the same ideals and different customs, even some strong ones that will leave you thinking.

Hinduism is considered major world religion originating on the Indian subcontinent has varied systems of philosophy, belief, and rituals. It refers to a rich cumulative tradition of texts and practices for being the oldest religion in the world although even so, their traditions and norms remain the same. For the same reason they believe in past lives and reincarnation and to escape this and become something superior you must fulfill the duties that are dictaded.

It is one of the most peaceful religions since they are based on yoga and detachment from the material.

Catholicism: very similar to Christianity, it has magnificent temples, structures from tons of years ago. "If you do well, it will go well" putting the good acts that will lead to a reward not only carnal but also in your Platonic existence of your soul, in heaven. The Supreme Being is the creator, called God or God the Father, who resides in heaven and watches over and guides everything on earth. This religion is also combined with the Jews and started in Jersualem by a small group of followers.

it consists in living a good one because at the end of time God will come with the living and the dead to separate the good from the bad.

Seek good deeds among humanity.

If everything comes and goes, is there anything that stays? According to Buddhism, the only thing that is always present is the awareness in which all these experiences and phenomena appear. "What goes around comes around" (as in catholiscm, if you do good you will have good consequences).Believes in the permanence of the elements that constitute the universe, as well as in the existence of the soul (as in Hinduism).

The goal of Buddhism is a state of lasting, unconditional happiness known as enlightenment.

We can conclude that the values of something divine/good that already existed or is yet to come are the same ideals to create peace between us that ensures a quiet afterlife or in paradise.
